Top Horrific Water Attractions You Need To Visit In 2017
There are types of travelers who love to experience extreme adventures which enable them to activate their adrenalin rush. For them, there is an immense joy and satisfaction in accomplishing a thrilling activity or visiting dangerous tourist spots and conquering them. We often see tourists climbing the peak of Mount Everest or other mountains and taking a milestone picture of the breathtaking scenery above. On the other hand, some people love to soar up above and conquer the heights of the sky by taking up parachute or paragliding activities.
While there are people who have an insane fear of height and they prefer to explore the depths of the Earth, more fond of exploring the waters than the air. If you’re one to mix both in love to travel and with a little bit of adrenalin rush in your system, we’ve listed our top dangerous water spot attractions 2017.
The Devil Pool
No, we’re not talking about the Pool of Death in Hawaii although it could be just as dangerous. We’re talking about the Devil Pool located in Zambia, which isn’t technically a pool but more of an edge of the famous Zambia falls with 355 feet height and if you happen to take a wrong step? You’ll be falling to your death! Still, adventurous travelers didn’t seem to be fazed by the danger they’re in and still enjoyed swimming at the lips of the falls. While they also claimed that it’s not really as dangerous as the media painted it to be because there’s a rock wall under the surface that stands between the pool and their impending doom, we’re still rather safe than sorry!
The Famous Hotel Pool in Iceberg
This famous hotel in Australia is one-of-a-kind because of its water pool feature. You might think that there’s nothing strange about it because obviously, almost all hotels nowadays have pools, right? Well, think again, because this isn’t an ordinary pool for you. How? This massive pool just happens to be an original part of the ocean. Yes, we’re not kidding! It seems the owner of the hotel was adventurous enough to push the ocean back 20 feet or so just to construct his hotel and build a massive pool in there. It results in generating large and sometimes violent waves that come crashing in. Well, we suppose it’s pretty obvious because technically, it is still part of the ocean so it’s only natural for the waves to collide with pool waters. Because of this, the management cannot maintain the mixture of the pool because of the salt water infiltrating their premises every now and then.
Golden Nugget Pool
This prestigious pool in Las Vegas is a must-see kind of an experience if you’re a water lover. At the first glance, you wouldn’t sense any danger at all. It’s just a normal (luxurious) pool with stunning features and vast space to swim and dive in. What’s also great about this pool is that you get to swim with fishes, though. Golden kois and other fishes you see in the sea which get you the feeling like you’re actually swimming in the ocean! It even has a water slide in a form of a glass tube which enables you to dive right through the aquarium. The only catch? Well, since the hotel management wanted to recreate the oceans, they’ve also included sharks in the aquarium bringing massive thrills. Yikes!
Crocosaurus Cove
True to its name, this underwater cave in Darwin, Australia is the home to dangerous crocodiles and more. Don’t get carried away, though. If the whole session descending to the glass tube filled with man-eating creatures isn’t stressful enough, they also let you swim with the crocodiles! Aside from that, the management often feed the crocodiles the exact time you’re swimming, causing them to be more active. We believe it’s a scary and risky thing to swim in there, coming up close and personal but then again, if you just love danger, you might as well check this off from your bucket list!
Skypark at the Marina Bay Sands
Who would think the vast sky above and infinite water underneath would ever meet? Well, think again because Marina Bay Sands was established to break the boundaries. Instead of having a penthouse at the top of these massive skyscrapers, they converted it to a sky park with infinity pool where you get to swim while watching the ethereal view of the cityscapes. That’s if you can withstand the nail-biting and breath-taking vertigo that you may experience as you ascend to the peak and chill in there. Actually, you might be sweating in fear the moment you see how far you’ve gone up to enjoy the grandeur of the Skypark!
