“I Was In A Lot of Pain and Scared!” Mel B Says After Her Temporal One-Eyed Blindness

Who wouldn’t be scared of being diagnosed with partial blindness?

Melanie Brown aka Mel B has spoken out about how scared she was for the health of her eyes, and on May 17th, the Spice Girls star reported to the hospital on the partial blindness she experienced in her right eye. On getting to the hospital, the facility made a diagnosis of her eye problem and results showed that Mel was suffering from eye inflammation.

Mel B revealed that the condition responsible for the partial blindness in her right eye was referred to as IRITIS and she also suffered from UVEITIS in her left eye.

On one of her social media posts after the diagnosis, Mel expressed her gratitude to her fans for their unwavering support while also shedding light on what really transpired.

“Thank you so much for all the lovely support and messages I’ve had about my eye. Just so you know the real truth. I had an awful experience last week when I went blind in my right eye and my left eye went blurry. I was actually in a lot of pain and very very scared but thanks to the incredible eye specialists in A&E at London’s Moorfields Hospital and after at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital I was diagnosed by [an] eye specialist with severe IRITIS in my right eye and UVEITIS in my left eye.”

Mel B also explains that she is currently on a variety of drugs and ‘heavy duty eye drops’ while also being properly taken care of by the Team Spice paramedics.

Furthermore, she told her fans that she wasn’t worried any longer that her eyes could become worse as she was properly being taken care of and she was only in search of a cool patch for her eye, but for the time being, her eye issues would be completely brought under control within the next 3-4 months. Currently, Mel B has begun rehearsals for the Spice Girls Tour.

This shouldn’t surprise you, but the Spice Girls haven’t exactly been without drama since Halliwell Horner, fellow Spice Girls bandmate came out to deny Mel B’s early claim that they had both slept together in the past. Thankfully anyway, it seems both ladies have buried the hatchet and moved on as they‘ve been spotted having good times with each other, alongside other bandmates. Their tour kicked off on May 24th in Dublin.
