Daily Intentions: The Powerful Motivation You Have Been Looking For
By now, you must be aware of the necessity and the importance of setting yourself goals, both long-term and short-term. However, do you know about setting intentions? There is a difference between goal-setting and setting intentions. Goal setting is a practice that enables us to have a target for the future. But goal setting requires us to understand what we are trying to achieve. This means we have to make a plan to achieve our said goals and to stay on track towards them. However, there is a downside to setting goals. Sometimes, not reaching your goal can make you feel like a failure, and this isn’t good.
Setting Goals vs. Setting Intentions
On the other hand, setting intentions is different. It requires you to focus on the moment, not in the future. You will live these values and raise your emotional energy by meeting your daily intentions. An increase in emotional energy will increase physical energy. Identifying your values and living within an interpretation of those values is a compelling method of finding success.
Setting a goal sometimes has people spending many days unproductively. And this meant they do not do anything towards achieving their goals, then rushing to meet it in the last few days. This is not a healthy way of living life and doesn’t help with motivation.
The Power of Intention Setting
Daily intentions will change your life. They are a sort of roadmap to your goals. They are a means to achieve success and happiness. Besides that, it will also give you a sense of fulfillment. It will remind you how to live every day, and you will know that every day, by meeting your intentions, you are closer to your goals. Intentions give you a sense of purpose. Besides that, they are the inspiration or the motivation you will need for achieving your goals.
Become More Effective and Productive
Setting intentions every day will mean that you are deciding to achieve a small number of tasks every day that will bring you closer to what you what to achieve. This means you will be more productive because you are ensuring you are on the right track, and you will be more effective. Giving intentions life will take the voices out of your head and help you think clearly.
You will know precisely what you are expecting to achieve on a given day, and you will be able to focus better on the goals. Living with intention is about living deliberately, and it is a brilliant way to keep you motivated to accomplish all you wish to achieve.
Motivational Mornings
Beginning your day with a clear head and a sense of direction is the ideal way to start the day. Nobody enjoys a day if it has started scatter-brained and in chaos. Mindful mornings full of motivational meditation, or an inspiring podcast, energetic song, or even a humble phrase can be all you need to set the tone for the day.
When you get into bed at night, plan for how you will begin your morning to have the most productive day. When you wake up, set your intentions after inspiring and motivating yourself using the best ways you respond to, whether by music, video, or meditation.
Living life with intention means that every day, you ask yourself important questions like what matters to you the most on this particular day? Or, what would you like to let go of today? Or even, who do you choose to be today? There is no need for grand gestures. Even the smallest of acts can bring great rewards and a sense of fulfillment. For example, if you feel like making a difference to someone’s life today, you can make that your intention for the day. The action can be as small as baking cupcakes for a sick old lady or offering your neighbor a ride to the store.
Finding motivation doesn’t have to take a lot of effort. It will take an investment of some amount of time. But once you make setting intentions for each day a habit, you will find it is very easy to keep up the motivation. Besides, it will thus help you achieve more. Goal-setting is great, but intention-setting is even better.
