Your Steps from Scared to Motivated
We all have dreams that we’re trying to fulfill and are motivated to pursue. However, sometimes, negative thoughts creep up on us, and before we know it, they stop us from making our dreams come true. The most deterrent factor standing in our way is fear. If fear is your biggest problem, here are some useful tips that will help you stop being scared and keep you motivated. Although this problem isn’t solved that easily, if you keep these thoughts in mind, you’ll surely be one step closer to achieving your goals.
Fear exists only in our minds and is caused by the things we think are going to happen, not those that are happening already. Hasuou ever been paralyzed by fear, making you think up the worst possible scenario in your head? If you’re trying to make an important decision, you keep imagining that whatever choice you make, it will lead to serious and disastrous consequences. Therefore, in the end, you don’t do anything because you’re too afraid of what could happen. But in reality, your mind can play tricks on you; to stop fear from controlling your thoughts and actions, you need to remove all the negative thoughts from your mind. It is also important to believe in yourself and make the right decision without the influence of fear and not let past experiences keep you terrified.
To is what you SHOULD do.
You should take risks
Sometimes, those risks will pay off and sometimes they won’t, but if you never try, you will never know. People who let fear stop them from taking risks rarely make mistakes, but by doing so, they don’t have many chances to improve or advance either. If you never make a mistake, you’ll never get to learn and grow from it. Don’t be afraid of failure and don’t lose your motivation because of it.
Fear can turn those who could be loved ones into strangers
If fear stops you from trying new things, that can expand to new experiences such as meeting new people. When we were little, we were told not to talk to strangers because it was dangerous, but if you’ve carried that into adulthood, the chances are that you almost never make friends because you’re too afraid to approach someone new. We’re not saying you should trust people blindly, especially not strangers, but if you let go of the fear of meeting new people, it might bring something good into your life.
Getting rid of fear is a matter of attitude
You can be the smartest, most prepared person in the room with the best qualifications, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get scared. Moments of fear and uncertainty are perfectly normal, but you mustn’t let that fear dominate and control you. If you believe that being prepared means being less afraid, you should realize that the absence of fear doesn’t come from aptitude; it comes from attitude. Every successful person on this planet has been afraid and insecure, but they learned how to turn their fear into motivation.
Don’t allow doubts to stop you from making decisions
No matter what you’re trying to do with your life at the moment — changing your job, starting a new relationship, or trying to finish college — you will face doubts and fears almost every step of the way. When you reach a point in your life where you’re doubting if you can do something and if it’s worth the effort, try making a pros and cons list. When you have everything black and white, you will help yourself make the right decision and realize that your dream or goal is achievable.
In order to move from fear to motivation, you need to realize where your fear is coming from and what exactly you’re afraid of. Once you’ve done that, make a sketch of what you’re going to achieve if you let go of your fears, and what you will lose if you keep living in the shadows. Don’t worry; getting rid of any fear is a long and hard journey that requires a lot of practice and patience, but if you believe in yourself, YOU WILL DO IT!
