Luke Perry’s Son Shared The Simple Yet ‘Most Important’ Lesson He Learned From His Dad

Luke Perry’s death created a great void in his children’s lives as well as his fan’s hearts, but the beloved actor also left behind a legacy. At the 2019 American Icon Awards, Luke’s son Jack revealed how he and his 18-year-old sister Sophie have been living since their father’s demise, and says they have been taking things “day by day”. In a recent interview, the young wrestler told PEOPLE he is proud to know that his father touched so many lives in his days on earth and that he is thankful for the many fans throughout the world that reached out to their family.

Jack shared that the most important lesson he learned from his dad was to be nice to anyone and everyone. The 21-year-old refers to his dad’s humble childhood and says that his dad did not let success change him. “He was from Ohio and he grew up with not a lot of money and I think he never really lost touch with who he was. He was always just a really good guy above everything else.”
Jack, whose ring personality is named Jungle Boy, is steady creating a niche for himself in the wrestling world. He has been wrestling for the All Elite wrestling since 2016 and says he is having a lot of fun and want to go as far as he can wit his career.

Luke Perry’s unfortunate death happened on March 4th after he suffered a stroke and was hospitalized on the 27th of February, 2019. He died at the age of 52.  Surrounding his deathbed were his family and friends, including his ex-wife and his fiancée, Wendy Madison Bauer. After his father’s death, Jack took to his social media page to pay tributes to his dad, sharing how supportive he was of him and how he encouraged him in everything he set out to do.
