Omega-3 fatty acids reduce the amount of bad cholesterol in the body. Therefore, failure to have omega-rich foods leads to the accumulation of bad cholesterol. This cholesterol blocks the arteries, leading to poor blood circulation. Therefore, the heart is forced to pump harder to maintain blood circulation, and this extra work may lead to heart disease.  Thus, experts recommend omega 3-rich foods.

Studies show that the omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids in flax seeds ease skin conditions such as acne and eczema. Also, omega -3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory properties, so they reduce the amount of cholesterol in the body and maintain a healthy rate of skin renewal.


Avocados arepacked with good monounsaturated fats, which are the key in restoring the hair, nails, and skin. These good fats aids in lowering the LDL, or also known as the bad cholesterol. They also boost HDL (good) cholesterol levels. Studies show that avocados are “nutrient boosters” as they help the body to absorb nutrients from other foods.
